I am 36 and have worn glasses since I was in 6th grade. I went for my consultation and was told I was an excellent candidate for LASIK. I took the plunge and had my surgery in both eyes 2 weeks ago. The Doctors and staff were great through the whole process and still are after surgery. Right after surgery my eyes were pretty irritated as I was told they would be, but it is wasn't bad. My eyes are still in the healing process, so my vision fluctuates day to day, but the freedom from glasses is awesome! It's amazing to see power lines a mile away without glasses! I have had a couple of days where I can feel some eye strain looking at computers for long periods, but that is normal during the healing process.
