I am so upset right now. I have strong astigmatism and have to have custom contacts made since I'm an actress and need them. After multiple fits to find the right one, we finally found a tester that I can see really well with. I couldn't order right away because custom contacts are expensive. I finally called to order some and couldn't get in touch or figure out the phone system, but left a message. Finally went in in person and they tell me they already ordered three pairs. I pay for them. I'm about to leave on a three month acting contract so I don't open them right away because contacts expire. I open them a bit later for an acting gig and lo and behold I CAN'T SEE PROPERLY. I take my concerns to them and we are told we will hear back in the next day. A week passes. We finally hear back but it's just a response to my mom leaving a message on the machine and nobody knows anything about my problem so apparently the info wasn't passed on from the first call. They get me in for a last minute appointment. I wear the contacts which are supposedly the same as the test pair, which were great. The doctor somehow manages to make me feel like it's my fault that time has passed (like three or four months, not a year) and instead of checking to see if there is something wrong with the contacts, jumps to the conclusion that it must be my eyes needing less power. She is ordering another test even though I'm literally leaving for my trip. To check if there's something wrong with my eyes or something, I decided to try the old testers just to see even though they are old now. Guess what? I can see well. How are you trying to make me think they are the same contacts when one set is horribly blurry and strange and the others I can see clearly? Just very upsetting experience.
