He then moved to Memphis, TN, where he completed his doctorate degree with honors from Southern College of Optometry. During his training, Dr. Eide completed rotations at The Eye Center in Memphis, TN, North Range Eye Care in Commerce City, CO, and Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, IA. As a board-certified Optometrist, Dr. Eide received extensive training with patients in primary care, ocular disease, trauma, contact lenses, and ocular surgery co-management. He has special interests in managing glaucoma, ocular disease, pre- and post-operative work for cataract and refractive surgery, and ocular emergencies. His favorite aspect of Optometry is patient engagement and learning more about the patients he serves, allowing him to tailor treatments, glasses, or contact lens prescriptions to their individual lifestyles.
Outside of the office, Dr. Eide’s favorite thing is spending time with his wife, son, and dog. Some other hobbies include weight-lifting, golfing, hiking, traveling, and watching sports – especially football and wrestling.
