Mary Lou Parisi

Chief Growth Officer

Mary Louise Parisi, Chief Growth Officer of Eye Health America (EHA), collaboratively leads the company’s physician engagement and growth, including doctor recruiting, marketing, merger & acquisition services, and management and strategy as an eye care leader. She builds strong alliances, attracts and retains the best physicians and partners.

Prior to joining EHA, Parisi was Chief Executive Officer of Clemson Eye, directing its growth as one of South Carolina’s largest regional integrated eye care providers with a focus on advanced cataract and refractive surgery, optical, and aesthetics.

Serving as EHA’s Co-CEO from 2018-2025, Mary Lou fostered a patient-focused, innovative culture among 1200+ employees, 100+ providers (ophthalmologists, optometrists, etc.) across 60+ clinics and 10+ ambulatory surgery centers.

Mary Lou Parisi is well-known in the eye care community and has served on national advisory boards for industry, published, and lectured for ASOA and JCAPHO while consulting on practice management across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, Parisi co-founded and grew an international furniture design and manufacturing business with sales and distribution in five countries over eight years. Briefly, in her early career, Parisi taught high school English in Canada, but quickly realized she was an entrepreneur at heart. In Hamilton, Canada, her birthplace, she launched an independent optical dispensary and eye care practice before relocating to South Carolina with her family.

Parisi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Political Science and a minor in English, followed by a post-graduate Bachelor of Education, all from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. She is a Certified Ophthalmic Executive who enjoys the creative process in business and thrives on steering an enterprise to its full potential.

Jason Barden

Chief Information Officer

Jason possesses extensive expertise in the field of Information Technology, accumulating an impressive tenure of over 27 years with a particular focus on Healthcare IT. Notably, he has been associated with Clemson Eye, one of our foundational partner affiliates, for more than 22 years. Initially serving as an external consultant through his own company, Jason eventually assumed leadership of the IT department. In 2018, he joined as a key member of Eye Health America during its founding.

Jason’s unwavering passion for technology has been widely recognized, and he has overseen the expansion of the organization’s IT infrastructure. Under his guidance, EHA, and Clemson Eye before it, has successfully transitioned from a solitary office setup to a comprehensive, fully integrated hybrid cloud IT environment that spans multiple states.

A proud alumnus of Clemson University, Jason holds a degree in Computer Science. Additionally, he has obtained certification as a NextGen Healthcare Certified Professional.

Courtney Mitchell

VP of Marketing

Courtney has been working in marketing & advertising for over 15 years. As a creative and metrics-driven marketing professional, Courtney brings experience in corporate communications, internal communications, advertising, public relations, event planning, brand management, promotions, social media marketing, reporting and analytics, product development, and budget administration. Courtney currently oversees all marketing efforts.

Benjamin Rinn

VP of Operations

Ben was born and raised in South Texas. He received his BA in Behavioral Biology and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University and completed his MA in Spanish at Stanford University. With over 15 years of healthcare operations and leadership experience, he enjoys leveraging Lean Management principles to improve processes and patient outcomes. His broad scope has spanned non-profits, large academic medical centers, health systems, and for-profit ventures. After 8 years in New York City and 8 years in Baltimore, Ben and his family have moved back south to be closer to family.

Ben and his wife have three children and love being active outdoors whenever possible, especially when beach volleyball or camping are an option.

Eric Yang

VP of Patient Engagement

Eric has spent 10+ years working in healthcare innovation and strategy across the provider, payer, and life sciences sectors. He has extensive experience with business process optimization, digital transformation, and data analytics. He is responsible for planning and overseeing a range of cross-functional executive initiatives. He received his MBA from the Wharton School and his BA from Dartmouth College.

Lisa Moore

Regional Director of Operations

Lisa Smith-Moore, a native of Oconee County, embarked on her educational journey at West-Oak High School before furthering her studies at Greenville Technical College, where she earned an Associate of Science Degree.

In May 1994, Lisa joined Clemson Eye as a Technician under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Parisi. Over the years, she has held various pivotal roles within the organization, transitioning from Technician to Clinical Lead, Manager, and eventually Director of Operations.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Lisa finds joy in spending time with her husband Brad, engaging in jeep riding adventures, and participating in church activities. Together, they cherish parenthood, raising two children. Presently, they revel in the delights of grandparenthood, affectionately known as Lolli and Pops to their grandchild, Kensley Jane.

Misty Smith

Regional Director of Operations

Misty Smith is the Regional Director of Operations at Clemson Eye, where she leads business and clinical operations across five of the organization’s twelve locations. With over 13 years of experience in the ophthalmology field—11 of those with Clemson Eye—Misty brings a deep understanding of both patient care and operational efficiency.

She has progressed through a variety of roles, including Ophthalmic Technician, Scribe, Cataract Surgery Coordinator, Clinical Lead, Clinical Manager, and Regional Clinical Manager—each one preparing her to lead with both insight and experience in her current position. Misty is dedicated to building strong teams rooted in knowledge, collaboration, and clinical efficiency.

Lisa Brill

Physician Relations Outreach Manager

Lisa has been a business development professional in the eye care industry for over 25 years.  She has vast experience in building a successful network of referring physicians.  Lisa works closely with both our internal doctors along with external referring physicians to ensure a smooth referral process through effective communication, relationship building and by making process improvements to ensure the best patient referral experience.  She enjoys consulting with eye care practitioners to help grow their business and improve customer service.
