Mary Lou Parisi
Mary Lou Parisi tries not to waste any opportunity.
As CEO of Clemson Eye, she says her life’s work is to transform lives through education, aesthetics and health.
“Combining my roots in education and business, I grew from a secondary school teacher to a start-up furniture manufacturing company to lead an innovative medical practice, Clemson Eye,” she says. “Advanced care is in our team’s DNA, but it’s not easy to achieve in this highly regulated health care environment. For the past 13 years, as CEO of Clemson Eye, I have facilitated it to become a leading-edge medical and surgical eye care provider for the Greenville, Anderson, Easley and Clemson communities.”
Parisi has an adventurous spirit, which has led her to skydive and train for marathons. She often channels her energy into athletics.
“I am a regular at Upstate charitable athletic events like Race for the Cure, the Turkey Trot, Flight of the Dove, Clemson Triathlon and Step Out Walk,” she says.
Known for her creativity, problem-solving skills, optimism and enthusiasm, those traits provide the starting point for Parisi’s success at home, at work and at the finish line. No matter what challenges and opportunities come her way, she approaches them with strength and with an open mind.
“I hope to keep evolving and encountering new opportunities, ideas, places and people,” she says. “There is never a shortage of ways to improve whatever we do.”
