The wait is over.
Now that you have the answers to some important questions, why wait? Restylane® is a safe and natural dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines beside mouth). There are no delays for allergy testing prior to treatment. The procedure is simple and convenient and the effects are immediate and lasting. Below are several examples of Restylane’s great results:
What is Restylane® made of?
Restylane® is a crystal-clear gel composed of Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid called NASHA™. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the human body that provides volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane® is free from animal proteins. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmissions or development of allergic reactions to animal proteins. NASHA is biodegradable and completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid.
Is Restylane® safe?
Yes. Restylane® has been used by dermatologists, ophthalmologists and plastic surgeons since 1996 worldwide. Restylane contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and should not be used by patients with a history of allergies to such material. After your treatment, you might have some redness or swelling. This will normally last less than seven days. Sunbathing and cold outdoor activities should be avoided until any redness or swelling disappear. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you shouldn’t use Restylane.
Can Restylane® be used anywhere on the face?
Restylane® has been used in more than 3 million treatments in over 60 countries to correct a variety of wrinkles. In the U.S., the FDA has approved Restylane for wrinkles and folds like the ones from the nose to the corners of the mouth. Your doctor will consult with you prior to your injection regarding common treatment areas.
How long does Restylane® last?
Restylane® is proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that Restylane® effects generally last for about six months. Restylane®’s patented stabilization process helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone. Treatments are typically scheduled at six-month intervals, or as determined by your physician.
How is Restylane® different from Botox?
Restylane® is a natural, cosmetic filler. In contrast, Botox is a drug that blocks nerve transmission and relaxes the underlying muscles.
Do the injections hurt and how long is the treatment?
Restylane® is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts with an ultra fine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient, and results are practically instantaneous. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, your physician may anesthetize the treatment area. A Restylane® treatment takes about 20 minutes and you may have a little swelling for a short period of time, but you can certainly return to work.
How much do Restylane® treatments cost?
Restylane® is a customized procedure based on your specific needs, so the cost will vary from patient to patient. In general, the cost of Restylane® should be comparable to the cost of similar procedures. Because Restylane® lasts about six months1, it may be very economical over the long term. Please consult your physician to determine the best recommendation for your particular needs.
Are there any rewards programs associated with Restylane® that provide users with incentive to use Restylane®?
Yes, there is. It is called Restylane RewardsSM. Once a patient receives their first Restylane® treatment, they may enroll in this rewards program. After each treatment, they’ll be rewarded with cash rewards that grow over time. A special bonus-a voucher good for $200 off a future Restylane® treatment-is awarded after the fifth follow-up treatment completed within six-months.
